总体介绍

我们是来自法国电力EDF(中国)投资有限公司研发部的数字技术与创新组。我们是新成立的小组,有如下两个任务:

1. 从中国的学府,科技巨头和创业公司发掘前沿科技。我们的目标是快速为新科技建立用户试用版本,在EDF公司内进行展示。

2. 数字科技服务支持EDF中国的商业活动,例如用数据可视化,产品原型试用来创造价值。

 

我们是一个由数据科学家,算法工程师,项目经理,软件工程师以及创新专家主任构成的年轻的小组。我们与创业公司合作,试验VR,AR, 小程序app,网页,数据可视化,AI,区块链,聊天机器人和物联网。希望由你来把我们的技术用极佳的视觉设计(UI)/用户体验(UX)进行展示,推广给客户。

岗位职责

EDF是一家致力于开发低碳能源的领先能源公司,EDF寻求高效的算法以解决能源计算挑战。量子计算(QC)的兴起正在彻底改变高性能计算领域。

你的主要任务是研究和开发适用于EDF China用例的量子计算算法,主要研究领域为量子退火和对宏观问题进行分析。

 

•实习时间为5-6个月优先*;可根据具体情况相应调整实习时长。

•你将在EDF北京研发中心工作,并与法国和美国国际EDF研发中心的QC专家合作。

 

通过实习,你将对具有工业应用的QC算法有深入的了解,发展您的计算机科学技能,并有机会使用实际的量子计算机。

 

技能要求

最佳候选人将有:

-拥有量子计算经验优先,但非必需条件。

-计算机科学或数学背景。

-有良好的编程能力(Python),了解Git。

-拥有良好的书面表达、交流能力,能够将专业结果很好的阐述呈现给非专业人员。

-精通英语, 良好的中文和/或法语水平是加分项。

 

*实习开始日期2021年3月/ 4月优先。可根据学生表现延长。

 

 Context

Part of EDF China’s Research & Development center, the Digital Innovation (DI) team is a new team created with two missions:

1) To explore the cutting edge digital technologies emerging from China’s universities, tech giants and startups, to develop prototypes with the aim of learning by doing and to share the results across EDF Group;

2) To support the business activities of EDF China with digital services including data science and rapid prototyping in order to create value.

 

The team is young, dynamic and ultra-curious. It comprises software developers, data scientists, innovation experts. We operate like an in-house startup, but one that works on mobile apps, data visualization, artificial intelligence, quantum computing... all wrapped in a beautiful layer of great user experience and visual design.

 

You’ll be equipped with modern hardware and software and you will work in a modern and collaborative spirit. You will be supported but you will have a lot of autonomy.

 

Your mission

Being a leader energy utility committed to develop low-carbon energies, EDF faces large computational challenges in energy, for which efficient algorithms do not exist yet. Yet, the rise of Quantum Computing (QC) is revolutionizing the field of high performance computing. Your mission will be to investigate and develop Quantum Computing algorithms applied to EDF China use cases. You will focus on quantum annealing and large scale problems, for which several obstacles remain due to current hardware limitations.

 

*Preferred internship duration is 5-6 months*; the exact duration and working schedule can be discussed based on your own situation.

*You will work at EDF Beijing R&D Centre which will assist you in the achievement of your objectives.

*You will collaborate with QC experts from international EDF R&D centers in France and the US.

 

Through the internship, you will gain an in-depth understanding of QC algorithms with industrial application, develop your computer science skills, and will have the opportunity to use actual quantum computers.

 

Required skills

Top candidates will have:

-Previous experience with Quantum Computing definitely is an advantage, but is not essential.

-Strong computer science and math background.

-Strong coding skills (Python) and knowledge of Git.

-Written and verbal communication skills, ability to present the results to a non-expert audience.

-Proficiency in English. A good level of Chinese and/or French would be an advantage, but is not required.

 

*Preferred starting date is March/April 2021. The internship period is flexible, can be extended according to the student’s performance.
