About the Role
The Digital R&D team at Covestro's PRDC Shanghai is at the forefront of transforming how chemistry and materials science are conceived, developed, and delivered. We work at the intersection of laboratory automation, artificial intelligence, and advanced simulation — and we're looking for a creative intern to help us tell that story.
As our Digital Content Intern, you will translate complex R&D innovation into compelling visual narratives — from short-form videos to high-impact posters — that engage both technical and non-technical audiences across the organization and beyond.
What You'll Do
• Conceptualize and produce promotional videos showcasing our key programs, including lab automation, AI-driven materials discovery, and multi-scale simulation
• Design visually striking posters, infographics, and digital assets for internal communications, conferences, and leadership presentations
• Collaborate closely with scientists and engineers to distill technical concepts into clear, engaging visual stories
• Develop and maintain a consistent visual identity for the Digital R&D team's communications
• Support the creation of content for internal platforms, events, and knowledge-sharing initiatives
What We're Looking For
• Currently enrolled in a degree program in Visual Communication, Digital Media, Graphic Design, Film/Video Production, or a related field
• Proficiency in video editing tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or equivalent)
• Strong command of design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, Figma)
• A keen eye for aesthetics and storytelling — ability to make science look and feel exciting
• Curiosity about science and technology; prior exposure to STEM content is a plus
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Fluent in Chinese; working proficiency in English preferred
