The main responsibilities include:
Assist in planning and implementing study away orientation events;
Assist in coordinating indoor and outdoor cultural activities and tours throughout the semester for study away students;
Manage Study Away in Shanghai social media account by uploading articles, photos, videos;
Assist in editing the weekly Study Away in Shanghai newsletter;
Assist in photographing/filming events, designing flyers/posters, and recap video editing for study away programs;
Assist in designing and purchasing merchandise;
Provide on-site logistics support for weekend events/tours;
Other administrative tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
Required Education
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree or a Master’s degree;
A Bachelor’s Degree in Education, International Education, Business, Psychology, or a related field preferred.
Required Experience
Experience with event planning and management preferred;
Experience studying and working in a multicultural environment is preferred;
Student Leadership experience is preferred;
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Chinese;
Ability to work effectively and independently in a team;
Can accept a flexible working schedule, including night shifts and weekend shifts;
Familiarity with Chinese culture and Shanghai City;
Designing skills and photography skills;
Working Time
4-5 days a week, long term internship preferred;
Work nights and weekends as a chaperone staff for events/tours/trips.
