Job Responsibility

Design and implement algorithms for multi-object detection and tracking of road users (vehicles, pedestrians) by sensor fusion of camera, radar, LIDAR

Conduct data analysis for performance evaluation of tracking and mapping algorithms

Integrate algorithms into existing robotics /vehicle platform and perform real-world testing

Review project requirements, survey available technologies, and check feasibility regarding requirements and resources

Fulfill the project goals timely and with quality

Document processes and results during development, especially for the key milestones

Work pro-actively within team to feedback processes and problems timely, and to discuss and find solutions
Knowledge competencies and attributes Required:
-
Major in computer science, software engineering, robotics, AI, electronic engineering, or other relevant technical background

Solid knowledge in sensor data processing (e.g.images, pointclouds), digital signal processing, or data analysis

Good C/C++ and/or Python programming skills

Good communication skills to work in an international team

Proficient in oral and written English and/or German

A quick learner who is self-driven and detail-oriented

Can work at least 3 days/week, and continue 3-6 months
Preferred, but not required:

Experience with robot or automotive sensors (e.g. camera, Lidar, radar)

Experience with robotics or automotive system development

Experience with SLAM or sensor fusion

Experience with ROS (Robot Operating System)
