Responsibilities:
1. Work with the program officer to manage WFC projects in China and abroad, including providing logistics support for conferences, doing research on cities' sustainable development, etc.
2. Help translate WFC materials related to cities' sustainable development, CH - EN.
3. Other administrative support as needed
Requirements:
- 英语好是基本要求,倾向希望日后去国外留学的同学。
- 做事认真仔细,有主动意识,能够同时管理多项任务,包括琐碎事宜。
- 中文文笔流畅。英文听说读写俱佳,能够准确翻译国内外资料。
- 北京市高校学生,少实习6个月,每周坐班约3天
Introduction to the World Future Council
The World Future Council (WFC) brings the interests of future generations to the center of policy-making. It consists of up to 50 respected personalities from all five continents, including Mr. Anders Wijkman, former UN Assistant Secretary-General, past member of European Parliament; Ms. Monique Barbut, Executive Secretary of UN Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD); Mr. Michael Otto, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Otto Group and Mr. Patrus Ananias, Former Minister for Social Development in Brazilian. They have made changes in their own field successfully already.
In close cooperation with governments, business, NGOs and international organizations, the World Future Council identifies and promotes best policies from around the globe.
The World Future Council has offices in Hamburg (Head Office), London and Geneva.
Currently, the World Future Council is actively carrying out its Regenerative Cities Programme in China. The aim is to provide and examine the challenges and opportunities of environmental stewardship and resource management as they relate to urban development in China and in addition provide in-depth research and analysis of concrete case studies. At the core of the regenerative vision is ensuring that future generations inherit a robust and intact world in which individuals can realize their full human potential and that cities continue to provide opportunities for all people to improve their quality of life.
