YOUR MISSION Your mission is to study and analyze the development and market trend for long duration energy storage in China. The tasks consist in but not limited to the follow-up of the policy and existing projects in China, the evaluation and application of innovative technologies & equipment in the field of energy storage. Review, follow-up, and analysis of existing long duration energy storage projects in China will be the basis, further techno-economic study and (process) modeling of a certain energy storage technology (e.g., thermochemical energy storage) could be needed. YOUR JOB You will work in the IDES Team, located at EDF China R&D Centre in Beijing. You will also have contacts with EDF partners in this field in China and in France. Your work will focus on the review and follow-up of long duration energy storage technologies and projects, making techno-economic analysis and comparisons. For this purpose, the ability of literature review, knowledge on different types of energy storage technology, its related equipment, and basic economic assessment are required. The abilities of summarizing, communication, presentation, and report writing are also very important. REQUIRED SKILLS •Engineering background: academic background on thermodynamics, power generation, and renewable energy. Have a basic acknowledge of energy sector, especially for renewable energy, etc., Economics sense will be appreciated. •Computer tools: Good in Word, Excel and PowerPoint; •Language skill: Chinese (native speaking), English (fluent in written & spoken). French skill is appreciated. •Personality/Behaviour: rigorous logic and time management, creative thinking, communicating, positive attitudes to challenges.
