Position Summary
The Campus Safety Service Center at NYU Shanghai provides essential services including campus card management, lost and found coordination, and parking permit processing. We are seeking motivated student interns to support daily operations and enhance service efficiency. Interns will work closely with full-time staff and serve as the first point of contact for community members.
The main responsibilities include:
- Campus Card Services: Assist with application processing, card issuance/replacement, data verification, and troubleshooting;
- Lost and Found: Receive, catalog, and manage lost items; maintain accurate digital/physical records; verify and return items to rightful owners;
- Parking Permit Processing: Support application/renewal procedures, documentation
review, and permit issuance;
- General Frontline Support: Respond to in-person, phone, and email inquiries; maintain orderly service environment and administrative records;
- Event Support as needed.
Qualifications
- Current university student (Sophomore year or above preferred);
- Available at least 3 full days per week;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Strong customer service mindset with patience and professionalism;
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy;
- Ability to manage confidential information with discretion;
- Capable of multitasking in a fast-paced work environment;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Required Education
- Enrolment in an accredited university program.
Required Experience
- Previous administrative or customer service experience is a plus, but not require
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong organizational and time management skills;
- Friendly and approachable demeanour with a problem-solving attitude;
- Comfort with basic office software and willingness to learn internal systems.
