Mission:
This internship will provide learning and experience within THOM BROWNE China E-commerce operation and administration. The intern will gain experience within the China E-commerce Team and learn about the business through daily observation and shadowing.
This role will also have a field study project at the end of the internship to recap and highlight their learnings. They will provide a presentation to their direct report at the end of the internship.
Learnings:
E-Commerce Site + WeChat: Learn how to use CMS. Understand how product catalogs are created and maintained. Ecom and Retail Software & Reporting.
E-commerce operation: Learn end-to-end Fulfillment process for and Mini Program. Exploring and Mini Program operational software and systems.
Administration: Learning about administrative tasks within CN Ecom Team: documents stamping, counterfeit identification, etc.
Market Research & Competitor Data: Researching competitor sites & stores and learning about global pricing, visual merchandising, UX, UI.
Report:
Geo pricing Analysis: Build chart with 5-6 competitors with pricing comparison across 20 mens and womens styles.
Merchandising Competitor View: Research 8-10 other brands, provide analysis with visuals, outlining how other brands approach merchandising across Mini Program & Tmall.
UX/UI Explorations & Suggestions: View 6-8 other brand WeChat, Mini Program, and Tmall platforms. Provide recap with visual suggestions on how there UX and site design enhance customer journey and conversion.
Requirements:
Understanding of internet technological capabilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Preferably Excel)
Interest in E-Commerce and Online Retailers
Detail-oriented and self-motivated
Available at least 3 days a week in office
Fluent writing and speaking in English is a plus
Experience in Photoshop and Illustrator is a plus as well
