[6 months, 4-5 days/week] Name of Project: iOS App Development in Proof of Concept for Valet Parking Objectives: Valet Parking is an advanced parking function which will contribute to improve the overall Mercedes-Benz customer experience. This project is part of proof of concept for Valet Parking Function. The intern will focus on implementing key features related to video streaming, remote vehicle control, and map rendering within the app. Main Tasks: - Video Streaming Implementation: Implement and integrate display of real-time video feeds from the vehicle's camera within the app in low latency. - Remote Vehicle Control Development: Develop and integrate UI elements for remote control functions and communicating with vehicle systems. - Map Rendering and elements: Integrate map rendering and navigation components to display the location of vehicle and target position. - Testing and Code Review: Conduct testing of APP as well as joint testing with vehicle, analyse the result and solve issues. - Documentation: Write clear and concise documentation and contribute to technical specifications. Learning Opportunities: - Hands-on experience in mobile app development - Exposure to automotive industry and technologies - Communication skills within international teams Key Qualifications: - Familiarity with mobile development frameworks and languages (e.g., Swift). - Good knowledge of streaming protocols (e.g. HLS, WebRTC). - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Experience with video streaming, map APIs, or remote control technologies is a plus. - Knowledge of vehicle and ADAS system.
