OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES • Understand broad IP market trends and IP partnership market • Be able to identify rising consumer trends, consumer needs, and popular brands • Support the evolvement of Disney alliance value propositions through quant and qualitative data points • Develop and maintain an understanding of the relevant business unit strategies (including, initiatives, current issues, and scope of current and future operations by forging strong relationships with the relevant line of business (LOB) liaisons • Support the alliance development team in targeting new potential partners in accordance to the business development strategy. • Conduct desktop research and analysis to support formulation of BD strategy • Conduct investigation to identify target companies and understand their marketing needs REQUIREMENTS TECHNICAL SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS: • Understanding China market and experienced in working with different types of companies in China, e.g. multinationals, SOEs, private owned companies • Understanding of commercialization opportunities and business development process • Good ability to perform research and analysis through various sources • Ability to understand basic financial statements, be able to perform market sizing, projections, and estimates EDUCATION, TRAINING, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: • B.S. or B.A degree required, currently completing studies in a top full-time MBA program is preferred • Negotiation/business development experience preferred • Good analytical, communication and organizational skills • Good commercialization mindset and creative problem-solving capability • Demonstrated good verbal, written and presentation skills • Good computer skills with advanced knowledge of PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Keynote • Willingness to adapt and learn new skills/approaches • Fluent in writing and verbal Mandarin and English • Work experience with an international company preferred
