Position Overview:
We are looking for two full-time research interns who are interested in environmental policies. They will work on the ‘China’s Environmental Policy Database’ project, primarily engaging in environmental policy collection and qualitative analysis, along with other relevant administrative tasks.
Reports to:
Prof. Coraline Goron, Assistant Professor of Environmental Policy
Essential Duties:
1. Assist in gathering Chinese environmental policies and corresponding implementation evidence (e.g. news, academic papers, and experts’ public commentaries) to input them in a ‘China Environmental Policy Database’ hosted at DKU.
2. Assist in the initial analysis of collected policies and their implementation evidence.
3. Provide administrative support with regard to all activities associated with the research project, e.g. organising meetings and taking meeting minutes.
4. Perform other duties related to this research project as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
1. Current undergraduate students or above (humanities & social sciences majors are preferred).
2. Fluency in Chinese; excellent speaking and written skills in English.
3. Organised, responsible, and detail-oriented individual with team spirit.
4. Strong interest in environmental issues and qualitative research.
5. Previous experience in policy research or qualitative data collection experiences is appreciated but not required.
6. Availability to work on-site 5 days a week, at least 3 months (from 1 May to 31 August 2024)
