Summary: 

The big data and solution engineer is a member of the EMC Growth and Innovation’s contact staff (based in Beijing and Shanghai) who works with a cross functional team to design, build, validate, and document repeatable, proven cloud, big data, and big data analytics solutions for China partners and ISVs. The role will also require cross training to other staff members on EMC technologies as well as delivering technical presentations at customer and partner meetings.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Develop, install and maintain IaaS (infrastructure as a service), PaaS (platform as a service) and Big Data platforms to support EMC proven solutions for China partners and ISVs Design and build China partner and ISV solutions utilizing EMC and 3rd party hardware and software to meet or exceed customer requirements Design and execute functional and performance tests, analyze and document results as an integral part of solution deliverables Development of appropriate documentation to support EMC Proven Solutions for China partners and ISVs SKILLS ·         Good read and written English skills ·         Has development experience on Linux ·         Familiar with C++ programming experience desired ·         Familiar with distributed storage system (ex. Ceph) desired ·         Familiar with data  analytic experience (ex. Hadoop, NoSQL) desired
