Purpose of the Position:
Continue to drive for engineering design and project proficiency through encompassing solid technical strength, scientific analysis and effective execution, to support manufacturing strategy and needs.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
Responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining methods, operation sequence and processes in the fabrication of parts, components, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies.Estimate manufacturing cost, determines time standards, and makes recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new or existing product lines.As required, maintains records and reporting systems for coordination of manufacturingoperations.Work on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of identifiable factors Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.Provide engineering skills and solutions to achieve production goals.Assist and lead in the identification and resolution of product quality issues.Design process experiments to determine and optimize important process variables and product parameters.Participate on and/or lead 6-sigma DMAIC or DESGN Performance Excellence projects. Use data tools such as KT, DMAIC, and others to drive continuous improvement.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor and /or above with major in electrical equipment/engineering.Knowledge of industry process or equipment development.Familiar with process/quality/cost control and improvement tools e.g. SPC, DOE, FMEA, MCV.
