Essential Function 1:   Complete assigned lab activities and report the results

 1 Excecute daily experiments/DOE based on own plan or given by lab head as well as project manager 

 2 Handle relevant equipment for chemical up- and downstream processing, and testing based on the standard operating procedures 

 3 Record, document and feedback observations and test results in ELN (electronic lab notebook) with oral and written reporting to supervisor 

 4 Support lab head in knowledge management, build-up and further development of experimental and scientific skill-sets 

 Essential Function 2:    ESHA, lab organization and maintenance 

 1 Understand and strictly follow regulations and requirements of OCC lab EHS, and support safety inspections 

 2 Maintain the management and stock of chemicals, consumables and lab equipment 

 3 Ensure and follow procedures for handling, receiving and shipping of chemicals 

 4 Maintain and further develop the lab environment according to 5S principles 

 5 Prepare and update SOPs for own lab environment 

 6 Mandatory risk assessment for equipment and experiments     

Requirements:

Education: 

 1 Master degree in Chemical Engineering (Prefer MSc with 0-1 year experience） 

 2 Basic English skills in reading and oral communication 

 Business experience (experimental and technical) 

 1 Work experience in similar function in the Specialty/Fine Chemicals Industry is a plus but not a must 

 2 Experimental experience in Flow Chemistry (eg. Microreaction technology) is of particular advantage 

 3 Familiar with various chemical unit operations, such as filtration, drying, distillation, membrane filtration, lab process automation 

 4 Knowledge and experience in analytics and basic knowledge in analytical method (MoE) development

 5 Awareness for a lean lab organization (5S, LabX) with willingness to improve standards

 6 Basic skills in project management with reporting and documentation skills using all relevant Microsoft Office tools

 HSE ：

 1 Usage and handling of hazardous chemicals 

 2 Autonomous management of HSE regulations in own working environment 

 3 Near miss reporting / High awareness for HSE

 Knowledge Management ：

 1 Actively support possible lab extension in terms of equipment and state-of-the-art lab infrastructure 

 2 Documentation and representation of the experimental and technical lab capabilities  

 3 Proactively further develop own (technical) skills with willigness to close knowledge gaps 

 Additional Qualifications: 

 1 Work independently with high level of own initiative and stringent time management 

 2 Team player with sound communication skills (Mandarin) 

 3 Give scientific input / Design and plan own experiments in accordance with lab head but ALSO independantly 

 4 Result-oriented with careful attention to raise questions in order to further develop highest standards in PRT labs
