The Role
We are looking for an electrical intern who understands system level power delivery and grounding (could be from vehicles, servers, or such complex systems), interconnect (electrical properties and reliability of wires, fuses, and connectors), and fundamentals of serial communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet, Bluetooth, DP, etc.)
Responsibilities
Electrical engineering design for a variety of electrical components and wire harnesses in Tesla vehicles, both in production and in development.
Support the engineers developing 2-d harness and wiring documentation to optimize topology/architecture for best cost/performance.
Requirements
Strong understanding of fundamentals of EE
Undergraduate students: demonstration of interest in the above fields through projects, research experience; Graduate students: research work should be in a relevant field
Ability to work independently and take initiatives
Ability to break complex engineering problems into smaller problems that can be solved based on first principles
Ability to coding and being skilled at applying AI tools to solve problem is a plus
We prefer our interns to stay for a minimum of 4 months
