The Role:
Tesla is seeking a Wireless Software Test Intern. This intern will be responsible for validating wireless connectivity software functionality and performance, also follow up on issues documentation, reproduction, and real-time debugging. This intern will work closely with Tesla’s wireless software development and testing team to contribute to improve car connectivity system performance and user experience across different platforms and carrier networks.
Responsibilities:
• Develop test plans and test cases for wireless connectivity field performance
• Develop test scripts in order to perform planned test cases
• Execution of tests to verify that behavior of wireless connectivity functions conforms to specifications, in emulator and live network environment
• Document, root-cause and follow up on wireless connectivity issues
• Verification of factory and field issues and drive closure for the fix
Requirements:
• Fluency in English and Chinese and good communication skills
• Major in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Knowledge and experiences with LTE/5GNR or Wi-Fi or Bluetooth technology
• Knowledge of Linux and network concept (Ethernet, TCP/IP, etc. ) and logging tools is a plus
• Experiences on software testing is a plus
• Skilled at Perl/Python, Shell scripts is a plus
On-site work 4-5 days a week is a plus
