Job Description (Manufacturing Product Engineer)

This position is for a Manufacturing Product Engineer to support New Product Introduction and Sustaining for Oracle's Sun Fire and Sun Blade X86 servers and blades.

(1)Essential Functions:

>> Key member of Oracle's Operations Team working with Design Engineering, Test Engineering and suppliers to define product assembly and test process, and create Product/Test/FA/RCCA Statement of Work (SOW) for External Manufacturing Suppliers.

>> New product introduction & pilot build support, with emphasis on server and blade motherboard assembly and test.

>> Lead board and system level debug of product and process defects found in prototype and pilot production

>> Assembly, test and quality process lead within the Operations Product team

>> Develop/Drive supplier process capability to meet Oracle Quality and Yield goals

>> Identification of product and process quality trends, analysis and assessment of impacts

>> Qualify new component/test code/design & support its production release process

>> First Article Inspection process management

(2) Preferred Knowledge:

>> Knowledge of both PCB and system assembly and test, including SMT, AOI/AXI, In Circuit Test and Functional Test

>> Knowledge on DFM/DFA/DFT methods

>> Root cause analysis/FMEA

>> Thorough understanding of computer hardware/architecture including high-speed circuitry, interconnect, processor, memory, I/O and storage hardware; and Unix, Linux, BIOS, UEFI software and firmware.

>> Basic understanding of mechanical assembly technology and power systems.

>> Knowledge on On-going reliability test(ORT) requirement setting, MTBF tool

>> Leadership and influencing skills

>> Ability to build and maintain supplier relationships

>> Must have verbal & written Mandarin(Chinese) skills

>> Must have excellent English communication skills (written, verbal, and interpersonal).

>> Must be willing to travel/resident at supplier sites and support remote activities as required. This position will frequently represent Oracle Worldwide Operations to collaborate with External Manufacturers and Oracle Engineering.

(3)Qualifications :

>> B.S/M.S Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
