PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The purpose of the job is to support the European Chamber’s and Paediatric Nutrition lobbying capabilities in China by defending the combined interest of paediatric nutrition industry actively in China and providing information on Chinese trade and industrial policies, laws and regulations essential to operators in the PRC.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Support the Desk Manager with various administrative and logistic tasks, including organising meetings, drafting minutes, document filing, and other ad hoc tasks.
Prepare briefings and briefing notes for senior level meetings between EU industry and Government organisations
Policy Research and sharing with the members periodically.
Assist the implementation of Desk projects
Maintain and expand relationship with Chinese and European stakeholders
Act in the best interest of the Paediatric Nutrition Desk and its member as well as partner companies

Genuine interest in trade policy and advocacy
University degree in economics, law, business, politics or related work experience
Fair knowledge of food/nutrition industry issues
High quality oral and written communication abilities with strong client servicing skills
Chinese Language abilities is a must and strong spoken and written English
A team player with strong coordination and organisational skills
Computer literacy in Microsoft Office suite applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Relevant working experience in a government, business, or chamber environment is a strong asset
Project management experience and skill is a plus
Eligible candidates must be enrolled in a bachelor or postgraduate programme and willing to work from the office for at least four days per week for four to six months. Foreign applicants are required to hold valid visa allowing him/her to take internship in China. Please note that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
The intern will receive a stipend of 2,000 RMB (net) per month from the fourth month of the internship onwards. Foreign interns are not allowed to get any stipend in China according to Chinese regulations. Upon successful completion of the 6-month internship, a recommendation letter signed by the Secretary General will be provided.
