Asia Pacific Water Stewardship Program is an innovative program led by Water Stewardship Australia (the regional representative of the Alliance Water Stewardship). It is designed to engage business, government and community through good water stewardship to deliver sustainable water balance, good water quality, healthy important related areas and good water governance in selected catchments through the Asia Pacific Region. To support the work, we are now seeking energetic young graduates or college students to join us in Shanghai. The interns will report to Regional Director of the AWS to support various activities. 

Responsibilities

-          Preparing a range of communication products e.g. WeChat articles, online newsletters

-          Managing AWS WeChat official account and contributing to website materials

-          Researching and keeping updated record of relevant news/information on new water policy, water related events, business and NGO initiatives and funding opportunity in China

-          Providing editing support to ensure content has a consistent style and tone and is of high quality and accuracy

-          Assisting and supporting logistics, e.g. helping on organization of trainings and workshops

-          Translating Chinese or English documents

Requirements

-          Graduate student, undergraduate student, or recent graduate, preferably major in environmental studies, engineering, or marketing fields

-          Genuine interest in digital marketing

-          Native Chinese and excellent English writing skills, previous experience working in English language will be highly appreciated

-          Graphic design experience a plus

-          Strong IT skills in general office software package, past experience in ArcGIS, Wordpress, Photoshop or Illustrator is a plus

-          Detail-oriented, responsible and self-motivated

-          At least 3 working days per week and 12 weeks for the whole internship period

Practical aspects 

-          The internship itself is NOT remunerated, however allowance for meal and travel will be provided. 

-          Once the internship completes, you will receive a certificate stating your responsibilities and contribution to fulfilling the AWS's mission in China. 

-          Your presence in office (755 Weihai Road, Shanghai) is required during normal working hours, but arrangements to work occasionally from home are possible.

-          The internship might be extended to a full-time position for suitable candidates
