Intern Attendance 3-5 days/week
Intern Period: 6-12 months, 6 months at least
The ideal candidate: • Is currently enrolled in a Bachelor or Masters degree in related areas (business/ finance/ supply chain/ logistics/ engineering...) • Brings a strong motivation to work in the maritime/logistics industry • Loves problem solving and have a strong analytical mindset; excels at processing data incl. cost modelling, with a commercial mindset and a good technical interest • Is detail-oriented and interested to learn and apply world-class procurement processes • Is a team player with good interpersonal skills and willing to help out where needed • Is process as well as result-oriented and dares to bring forward new ideas and initiatives • An international mindset supported by high level of proficiency in spoken and written English • Experience with quantitative and/or qualitative analysis using large datasets in MS Excel • Familiarity with the use of data visualization applications is a plus (i.e. Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
The Procurement Intern will work within the category named “Dry-docking and Retrofit”. This category team is globally responsible for procurement of shipyard services related to vessel maintenance. The team conducts tenders, negotiates contracts, maintain supplier relationships & performance and provides necessary support to technical colleagues related to the execution of the repairs. The Intern will be responsible for maintenance and development of internal tools, support on tenders, and support in major retrofit projects and strategic initiatives.
