Mercuria’s principal investment division is the centre for Mercuria’s long term principal investing activity and provides financing and investment capital on a flexible and bespoke basis. We have been deploying billions of capital across various of geographies and transaction types.

Job Description:

Principal Investment team is looking for off-cycle analyst for a 3-month time horizon. You will function as an investment analyst specially focus on commodity related private equity and private debt investment including but not limited to significant minority, buyout, direct lending and mezzanine investment.

You are expected to participate in live deal execution as well as day to day ad hoc task as needed. Day to day responsivities include financial analysis and modelling, company and industry research and preparing investment committee presentations.

Requirements:

1. Post-graduate or final year undergraduate students, Finance and Economics preferred from top tier school
2. Good command of both Chinese and English as working languages
3. Computer proficiency, especially familiarity with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and database i.e. Bloomberg and Capital IQ
4. The commitment to a 3 months internship, 4 days per week preferred
5. Basic understanding of financial modelling (DCF, LBO and restructuring ideally)
6. Prior internship experience in investment banking, boutique advisory firm or private equity preferred
