Summer Internship Program
BP Summer Internship Program aims to provide undergraduates with a platform which enables self-development and a channel to know BP better.
During the program, you’ll work alongside highly qualified and experienced colleagues including your line manager, director, HR and buddy, in a culture that values respect, diversity and shared success.
All these personal mentoring, structured learning offers, expert advice and regular appraisals will help prepare you the early career development. Beyond this, through performance assessment at the end of the internship, you will have the opportunities to continue your career within BP by entering the full-time graduate hiring process with advantages in the coming season.
Role Synopsis
The Process engineer intern will focus on technical team on Process optimization.
Set up state models or special engineering tools/software to perform plant optimisation and/or engineering calculations.
Identify and promote options for process development/improvements consistent with business strategies.
Continuously optimise process conditions to maximize plant benefits, such as maximizing product volume and reducing consumptions thus variable costs.
Investigate complex plant problems or potential business loss and develop/propose procedures and process modifications to address/solve such problems

Requirements
Bachelor degree and above, majored in Chemical engineering/polymer material and engineering or equivalent discipline, will graduate in 2019.
The ability to perform fundamental chemical engineering and unit operation calculations using standard and/or specialized chemical engineering tools.
Understand the implications of physical properties, thermodynamics and transport property models.
Open mindedness and willing to learn and show initiatives for self-improvement.
Fluent English, both oral and written
Strong communication & interpersonal skills, good team player
