ABOUT THE POSITION

As an Online English Teacher at EF English First, you will be teaching English through our EF Online Classroom, which allows students to study English from all corners of China. Teachers in this position play a key role in our mission, ‘Opening the world through education’. Our teachers begin by delivering on-line lessons to English learners. In addition, our teachers also deliver high quality written feedback to our students.

v  Delivering lessons to kids and teens students through our online learning platform

v  Evaluating students’ progress and providing on-going guidance for improvement

v  Attending required trainings and meetings

v  Contributing to center’s various initiatives during office hours

v  May need to teach online adults English lessons where required

v  Bachelor’s degree in any field

v  High level of English proficiency

v  Tech-savvy, self-motivated, and can work independently

v  Mainland China Citizenship

v  Primary or Secondary School English Teacher Certificate is required (if you don’t hold one, you will be willing to obtain one on the job, sponsored by EF)

v  Prior teaching experience and TEFL certification is not required, but is beneficial

v  Work Location: Shanghai Online Teaching Center, Pudong District, Shanghai

v  Fixed monthly salary package. Paid on 12 month/year basis; Standard benefits according to local regulations on social insurance
