THE ROLE
Interns within Homologation and Safety Testing will work side by side with range test team to support energy consumption, coast down and range test data analysis carried out in Shanghai. This role will develop tools to transform range test data into interactive visualizations and actionable insights.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Create and optimize APAC range test MySQL database to make it easier to understand, more compacted and readable.
• Extract data from offline files like PDF/Word/Excel and insert to MySQL database.
• Extract data from open website API and insert to MySQL database.
• Apply Tesla internal tools, like Power BI, to visualize the collected data and provide profound insights to justify the positioning of Tesla energy consumption in the market.
• Collaborate with R&D operation team and Firmware team, to develop online dashboard to smoothly track the real-world driving consumption fleet data.
• Work with Range test members, to develop automatic tools to live display CAN signals and quickly judge range test Ok-To-Go via setting up combined triggers condition.
• Work with Coastdown test members, to develop automatic tools to track test task distribution, track use time and Tire/Vehicle management.
REQUIREMENTS
Must
•Pursuing bachelor’s degrees or above in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Systems Engineering, or equivalent
• Strong coding skills with Tools like: Python, JavaScript, MATLAB.
• Have an exceptional capacity for managing simultaneous activities and challenges.
• Comfortable with analyzing data and good presentation skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to carry out one Full-Time internship of at least 6 months.
PREFERRED
• Proven working or project record of coding experience using tools like Python, JavaScript or MATLAB.
• Experience in database or webpage development is an advantage.
