This will often, where appropriate, be associated with setting up an initial meeting between the prospect and the assigned Account Executive. Inbound Business Development • Conduct Strategic Business Development activities, which would include tele-prospecting, as part of follow-up with prospects who have responded to our Marketing Activities (Events & Tradeshows, Webcasts, Ads, Collateral on our website, Software Evaluations, etc.) with the objective of creating marketing qualified leads for the sales force. This will often, where appropriate, be associated with setting up an initial meeting between the prospect and the assigned Account Executive. All Business Development • Work with Corporate Product Marketing, Field Marketing and Sales teams to become knowledgeable in all MicroStrategy products and services value propositions and messaging, to effectively and persuasively engage in high quality conversations with prospects, articulating our products’ differentiation in a concise, clear and compelling way that drives interest and results in marketing qualified leads/initial meetings. This includes mastering product training as well as guideline call scripts for multiple products and multiple buyer personas. • Perform contact discovery and acquisition by leveraging, but not limited to, on local online resources (e.g. Baidu,) where necessary. This includes prospect identification and discovery of contact information. • Maintain daily activities in system of record, tracking interactions with prospects and customers contacts (Experience with salesforce.com preferred) • Provide daily/weekly updates to manager on individual activity • Interact regularly with all areas of Marketing and Sales, including Marketing Operations team, to discuss the lead qualification process, and recommend improvements • Work closely with the Marketing team in developing new ways to increase awareness of MicroStrategy products and services • Drive registrations to MicroStrategy events (esp. MicroStrategy Symposium) and set-up on-site meetings at tradeshows with MicroStrategy presence Qualifications Required Experience and Skills: Motivation, Innovation, Passion, Integrity, Teamwork, Customer-Focus. You should also bring the following: • Strong telephone and prospecting (cold-calling) skills • Excellent verbal and written communication skills - mandatory dual oral and written language competency: Chinese (Simplified) and English; ability to converse in Cantonese and additionally write in Traditional Chinese a plus • Good understanding of enterprise software/B2B high tech industry desirable • Demonstrable ability to collaborate across teams • Goal-oriented, highly confident, self-motivated • Highly energetic with very strong work ethics • Willing to work within a highly agile environment with an innate sense of urgency • Excellent organizational skills • Adaptable to new and evolving challenges • Bachelor’s degree required, preference with Computing / Business Analytics / Data Warehousing subjects
