AI & Quantum Lab in Merck is looking for an innovative, collaborative, and highly motivated intern in AI reserach. The candidate will closely work with researchers from a diverse background including machine learning, biology, medicine and physics. The candidate will write code to prototype new approaches or develop novel theoretical and practical insights. He/She will formulate and share findings with business stakeholders and file publications in recognized academic venues. This role offers a unique opportunity for research and applications in novel AI techniques that can be potentially applied in advanced life science pipelines, e.g. molecule design and protein design platform. A full-time PhD/MS in computer science, data science, computational chemistry, computational biology and related science/technology discipline 2. Experience with large language models and its applications is a plus. 5. English fluency is a plus, but basic communication and slides formulation is a must.
