Requirements:

>2 months Project: Competitive Intelligence and Strategic Analysis of powertrain portfolio opportunities. Responsibilities: Industry and Market data collection, organization and analysis. Understand fuel consumption & NEV related policy impact on industry & key competitors Perform analysis on key competitors’ powertrain portfolio actions which lead to fuel consumption improvement Deep dive on competitors’ conventional/electrified vehicles powertrain & electrification intelligence study (engine & transmission/ electrification/ emission/ fuel economy) Perform analysis on customer preference on powertrain selection Propulsion planning and project support Assist GM China propulsion planning team in managing the vehicle powertrain development   Scope: Understand automotive industry policy Define the current powertrain landscape and markets of key competitive OEMs Gather data from available sources on the OEM’s future powertrain plans Analyze data for potential future direction of OEM and implications for GM Present results to GM China Planning management as well as other relevant functions  Propulsion planning and project support

Qualifications:

Experience/Education:  Bachelors or Masters Student in a top university   Skills / Competencies:   Engineering background preferred Critical thinking, Strategic Agility, Drive for results, Interpersonal skills Good level of analytical ability / organizational skills, excellent computer skills (word processing, spreadsheet and presentations) Strong interest in Automotive industry, strong willingness to learn and self-motivation
