Product Compliance Management
Accountable to understand and apply Global regulations (with a focus on China) to ensure compliant products.
Translation of China specific standards from Mandarin into English.
Communicate product and labeling requirements to appropriate stakeholders.
Assist in the development of product concepts and marketing claims.
Evaluate and resolve product compliance issues with cross functional partners.
Perform reviews to confirm formula, label and product acceptability.
Evaluate and escalate major issues to manager.
Submission and Reporting Management:
Create, obtain, assemble, submit and track government product submissions, registrations, listings and/or notifications, including assuring the conformance and accuracy of required documentations.
Effectively interacts and communicates with government officer, manufacturers and other departments related to product registrations and maintenance.
Learn, understand, translate and apply China specific government regulations related to product registration, testing, and labeling.
Translation and review of quantitative formulas and product labels in both Chinese and English.
Assist in the design and maintenance of regulatory recordkeeping systems.
Provides regulatory review of ingredient list and product’s package.
Product Research and Evaluation:
Perform research on regulatory related topics appropriate to areas of accountability.
Provide recommendations and information to supervisor and regulatory teams.
Continue to learn and apply regulations and begin to leverage experience in issue management.
Develop an understanding of market positioning and ingredient/technology acceptability.
Emerging Issues Mgmt. / External Monitoring:
Influence product development process.
Responsible for understanding emerging technical issues and identifying impacts through functional support of sub-brand projects.
Government Agency and Trade Association Management:
Participate in trade association activities as identified by supervisor.
Monitor government/regulations applicable to their area of accountability.
Communicate emerging trade association activities and/or governmental monitoring to regulatory team applicable to their area of accountability,
Participate and organize educational and development activities such as webinars as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
Fluent in English writing and speaking
Familiarity with formulated, hardline and softline consumer product regulations.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Must be collaborative, motivated and adaptable.
Superior interpersonal, communication, time management and organizational skills;
Excellent analytical skills and demonstrated aptitude with information technology
