Role Summary/Purpose :
The OMLP EID Program is designed to identify high-potential engineering students early in their academic career as possible candidates for OMLP (Operations Management Leadership Program) entry programs. The EID Program offers students the opportunity to experience a real-life work environment at GE, while developing the professionalism critical to a successful career.
Essential Responsibilities :
Every OMLP EID assignment offers: • Challenging work assignments • Formal goal-setting, mid-term and final appraisal processes • Supply chain and leadership learning opportunities • Multiple resources for each student: manager, mentor, buddy, Program manager • Networking and social activities • Rewards and recognition
Qualifications/Requirements :
1. Master degree in Engineering, Science or Operations Management 2. GPA greater than or equal to 3.0/4.0 3. Basic understanding of supply chain and has passion/interests to supply chain 4. Good communication and team work 5. Good English skill including oral, written, listening
Desired Characteristics :
1. Major in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical Engineering or Chemical Engineering 2. Prior intern, co-op, or research experience in manufacturing 3. Knowledge of LEAN 4. A strong commitment to a career in manufacturing 5. Good learning agility
