We want to create useful, interesting, and well-researched content about languages, linguistics, culture, and how people learn languages. What You’ll Do ● Research and write articles for the LingoDeer Blog ● Pitch interesting topics about languages, linguistics, culture, and language learning ● Turn complex ideas into clear and engaging explanations for everyday learners ● Research reliable sources and fact-check your work ● Share insights from your own language-learning experience ● Work with editors to revise and publish your articles We’d Love to Meet You If ● You write excellent English for an international audience ● You genuinely enjoy learning languages ● You have seriously studied at least one foreign language ● Learning two or more languages is a strong plus ● You are curious about how languages work and why learners struggle with certain things ● You enjoy researching unfamiliar topics ● You can explain complicated ideas simply without losing accuracy Students in Linguistics, English, Translation, Japanese, Korean, Chinese Language Education, Journalism, Communications, or related fields are especially welcome, but your major is not a requirement. Previous writing experience—blogs, Medium, Substack, student publications, newsletters, or similar—is a plus. You may be an especially good fit if: you notice something strange about a language and end up spending two hours trying to understand why. How to Apply Please send us: 1. A short introduction 2.
