Job Overview and Responsibilities

- In charge of executing experimental activities within the HPC Fabric Care segment encompassing formulation, application test & stability evaluation for the good delivery of the projects

- Continuously keep up to date with industry standard test methods as well as develop new test methods

- Maintain systematic records of experimental work and make presentations to the stakeholders

- Day to day activities in the laboratory including proper housekeeping, common equipment maintenance, etc.

- Liaise with R&I (Corporate, Market & Technology) teams within the organization for joint development

- Interface with customers, create deep customer intimacy to understand their needs as well as troubleshoot issues related to process, stability and technical requirements

- Supervise junior chemists on the technical front

- Implement and enforce Environment, Health and Safety guidelines (EHS) in the laboratory

Education and Experience

- Bachelor or Master Degree in Chemistry or similar discipline

- Minimum 2 years of research working experience in chemical industry

- Working experience in polymer science, surfactants and formulation science

- Strong analytical and problem solving abilities

- Good communication skills, able to establish efficient work relationships

Skills 

- Good team player, collaborative, agile to learn, network with subject matter experts within and outside the group and resourceful

- Think out of the box and propose alternate solutions

- Excellent command over spoken and written English
