Responsibilities:
The Assistant Retail Planning Analyst is responsible for:
· Completing analytics and other tasks to help Planning by:
o Supporting the development of the allocation plan
o Monitoring store stock levels and sales trends through reporting and analytics
o Completing analytics to support balancing stock within stores and across channels as needed
o Reviewing production order status to understand inventory status issues (overstocks, late deliveries, short shipments) and potential impacts and raise concerns
o Reviewing inventory to ensure support of seasonal marketing initiatives
· Setting and maintaining data in the ERP and POS systems and databases
· Generating reports from Cognos and the POS system
· Creating ad-hoc Cognos reports based on detailed knowledge of data fields and definitions
· Creating ad-hoc Excel files and pivot tables to support analytics
· Completing analytics and identifying opportunities and actions based on the results
· Communicating with marketing and retail ops teams on inventory issues or needs
The Assistant Retail Planning Analyst will also:
· Participate in store visits (internal) and competitor market visits (external) to understand retail trends and consumer needs
· Attending meetings as appropriate to learn new skills and increase business knowledge
Requirements:
· Good analytical skills and attention-to-detail to analyze and interpret high amount of data and determine the implications
· Basic to intermediate skills in numerical and quantitative analysis
· Proficient in MS Excel
· Good time management skill with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and effectively
· Good organizational skills to complete course of action in a structured, organized and efficient manner
· Good communication skills to facilitate resolution of allocation issues
· Good teamwork and collaboration with cross functional teams and with all levels of employees
· Interest in continuously learning by actively seeking opportunities to increase knowledge and new skills
· Retail and product exposure to key markets in Asia preferred
