Gemba visit physicians with MKT/sales domestically and internationally to understand use scenario.

Understanding user needs and create product design specifications.

Link design specification to user needs and demonstrate the differentiation compared to competitors.

Design product structures, and breakdown to suitable parts level. Create design specification for part level subassemblies or components.

Parts model and material selection and definition.  Creates models and prototypes to check the design, debug and optimize the design to make sure robust design for high reliability and easy manufacturability.

Conducts testing to verify parts and final product meet specification and requirements.

Documentation deliverables for the responsible activities. Conducts documentation with design controls and risk analysis in accordance with established design control/quality SOPs.

Transfer design to appropriate process to ensure consistent mass production.

Contributes inventions, new designs and techniques associated with the completion of specific product development.

Adheres to safety policy and procedures.

Requirements

B.S. or M.S. degree engineering education background, Mechanical, Material, Biomedical/Electronic Engineering, Optical, or related discipline specialty. Good at statistic software, such as Minitab, Matlab, SAS, SPSS is preferred.

System modeling and simulation experience, school scientific or company technical project experience is preferred.

Skilled in AutoCAD, Solid works, ProE, Protel, or related design/graphic tool. Company part-time internship experience, especially in medical device development area, is preferred.

English proficiency in both written and spoken, able to travel internationally and work in global collaborating environment.
