Evalueserve has built a strong expertise in the ESG (Environment, Social and Governance) research

space. The global ESG research team currently supports some of the leading global asset

management companies and/or the Index Providers / Rating Agencies with ESG research service.

Evalueserve’s ESG team is looking for interns to be based out of Shanghai office, with interest in

financial / business / market research; someone who has an interest in the concept of Sustainable

Investing/ ESG research. The role requires the analyst to:

• Collect quantitative & qualitative environmental / social / governance related data from annual

/ sustainability reports and other public sources

• Analyze the collected data with respect to client defined criteria / questionnaire using an Excelbased

platform; this will be in the form of a rating supported with comments / rationale

• Provide appropriate sourcing / references along with rationale / comments

• Collect media releases from public sources on various controversies surrounding the companies

• Search and analyze relevant data regarding ESG/Green Finance/ Sustainable Development/

Carbon Neutrality, etc.

Skill set required

• Good research, analytical and communication skills and high attention to details

• Good Japanese and English communication skills (verbal and written)

• Fair reading comprehension; ability to identify nuances of different languages

• Team player who can also work under instructions with strong sense of responsibility

Education and experience:

1. Students with valid student ID Card 

2. Language: Japanese (N1 and above), English (CET-6)
