职位描述：

PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

The development team for SAP HANA &Database in China is part of the global HANA product organization with 1000+highly motivated employees who design and produce SAP’s cutting edge database products, specifically SAP HANA. The global SAP HANA & Database development team is responsible for architecture, design, development and delivery of industry leading, in-memory database technology. SAP HANA Predictive Analysis Library (PAL), the in-memory machine learning library with 100+ scalable &high-performance algorithms, is developed in SAP Labs, China. Within the team, we have PhD researchers, algorithm developers, data scientists, and system engineers to build the next generation of data platform and help enterprise customers to utilize machine learning & data science algorithms on enterprise data.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

As Developer Intern, you are expected to do the following for the machine learning algorithms:

Support the quality and performance works of PAL and related products by doing necessary testing and fine-tuning works.

Support the development, enhancement and maintenance of Predictive Analysis Library and related products.

Support the research in the area of machine learning, statistics, predictive analysis and sharing the knowledge as required

Providing documentation as required

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

Minimal undergraduate student in computer science, software engineering, statistics, mathematics, or other science and engineering related areas;

Basic communication skill in both Chinese and English;

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

Key requirement

Solid knowledge in C++ programming languages:

Solid knowledge in common algorithms

Good written and verbal communication skills

Good problem solving skills and learning ability

Minimal 4 months internship is required, 6 months is preferred

Nice to have

Experience in Linux environment is a plus

Experience in python, R or other machine learning platforms is a plus

Experience in Database and SQL is a plus

Being self-empowered, taking ownership of, and responsibility for your work

No work experience is required.
