Description
The Global Statistics and Data Science (GSDS) department includes statistics, programming, data management, operational excellence functions. We provide statistical support to all drug development and commercialization phases including preclinical discovery, translational research, clinical development, post approval and manufacturing. There are about 70 statisticians at all levels in the team, located in Shanghai, Beijing and US offices. Statistics for Global Post Approval and Real-World Evidence (SGPAR) is a team within the stat function of GSDS supporting health economics and outcome research (HEOR) and real-world evidence (RWE) for clinical development and drug commercialization.
Your role
We are always looking for talented statisticians to grow our team. Currently SGPAR is looking for an intern to work on health technology assessment (HTA) and Real World Data (RWD) related statistical methodology. Your key areas of focus will be supporting health technology assessment (HTA) related work including survival curve digitalization and data extraction and preparation for network meta-analysis. You will also support literature review, implementation of simulation studies, and RWD pre/post-processing.
Qualifications
1. Knowledge of causal inference, health technology assessment (HTA), and simulation is preferred.
2. Solid statistical training is preferred.
3. Proficiency in programming languages (R/SAS - preferred, Python - plus).
4. Experience in conducting literature review and good ability of reading/writing scientific articles.
5. Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to conduct regular presentations.
