Description of this internship: Support the AHK innovation team in developing new services for our members, conducting market research, and analyzing innovation policies across China. · Work closely with the AHK innovation team in Guangzhou · Monitor industry news and updates related to innovation trends and latest technologies in China · Assist in developing and testing new service offerings to support our members · Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute ideas for new service offerings or events. · Assist in planning and organizing innovation events · Scout the Chinese startup ecosystem, identify, analyze and reach out to potential startups · Support the conducting of market surveys and interviews with innovative companies · Conduct competitor analysis and benchmarking studies for innovative services and solutions Requirements: · Bachelor’s degree or above with experience of economics or other academic field relevant for this position (undergraduate student with related major also possible - depending on experience and skill set) · If the applicant is a foreign intern, you must study at a Chinese University (X Visa) with the permission of the university to carry out an “off campus internship" · Fluent in Chinese and English (German is a plus) · Interest in Entrepreneurship, Startups, and latest technology trends · Optional: Has volunteered for a startup community or accelerator before · Curiosity to learn more about the innovation eco system in China, Germany, and the EU. · Willing to learn new knowledge, goal orientated, and work independently · Available at least three days a week in the office
