Internship at BMW R&D China Charging Team

【Key Objectives】 BMW Group Beijing RnD Center is looking for an intern for New Energy Vehicle Charging team.

The duration of the internship is 6 months

【Major Responsibilities】 

Tracking, and documentation of testing and validation of charging systems in battery electric vehicles and plug-in hybrid vehicles. 

Support the planning of field validations. 

Support BMW charging park and equipment management. 

Support the pre-analysis of charging issues in terms of both vehicle CAN-Bus analysis and electric/electronic analysis of charger. 

Translation of Chinese charging-related technical standards into English. 

Desk research on NEV/Charging and relevant technological trends. 

Desk research of Chinese public and private charging infrastructure development and regular market reports.

【Education/Degree】 Bachelor students from 6th semester onwards or Master students from 3rd semester onwards, in the fields of electrical/mechanical/automotive engineering.   【Knowledge/Skills/Competences】 

Knowledge of university level analog and digital circuits, power electronics, high voltage batteries and electrical motors.

Knowledge of CAN-BUS and Vector CANoe Software is preferable. 

First experiences in electrical installation, low-voltage and high-voltage electrical distribution network and soldering are preferable. 

Interested in cutting edge automotive technology. 

Advanced Windows and Microsoft Office skills.  

Fluent spoken and written English&Mandarin, German is a plus. 

Driving license.
