【Job description】
The Transformative AI Intern sits within L'Oréal China's Chief Growth Officer office — the center driving the company's next chapter of AI-powered growth. This role is designed for a rare profile: equal parts analytical thinker and creative problem-solver, comfortable moving between strategic frameworks and hands-on AI experimentation.
You will work at the intersection of artificial intelligence and business practice — helping translate frontier AI capabilities into tangible growth levers.
Position Requirements:
- AI Fluency: Hands-on experience with LLMs; ability to craft structured prompts, build AI workflow and evaluate outputs critically.
**Prerequisite: provide personal AI output for interview.
- Strategic Thinking: Can connect a model capability to a business outcome — not just "AI can do X" but "here's what that unlocks for L'Oréal China"
- China Market Awareness: Understands the domestic AI ecosystem (ByteDance, Baidu, Alibaba, Tencent) and how China's digital consumer behaviors differ from global norms
- Communication: Bilingual (Chinese & English); able to write crisp, senior-ready briefs and present with confidence
- Curiosity & Speed: Comfortable with ambiguity; learns fast; ships work, iterates, and improves
Preferred background:
- Prior internship or project experience involving AI tools, data analysis, or digital strategy (or strong personal interest in such area)
- Available for a minimum 6-month full-time internship based in Shanghai
