Knowledge and Experience
Bachelors degree or above
1-2 years experience
Writing and analytical experience preferred
Computer proficiency in MS Office, including
Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
including the ability to multi-task and prioritize efficiently
Ability to work in fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
and the ability to interact with both internal and external clients using
a strong customer service approach
Ability to synthesize data into a meaningful
value proposition
Basic knowledge of commercial real estate terms
and definitions
Knowledge of economic and demographic data,
statistics, research methodology, and statistical analysis
Principal Responsibilities
Perform primary research on buildings that are
built, under construction, proposed, or under renovation
Work with brokers on requests such as providing
building and market information
Call on available properties and update
proprietary database as applicable
Track new construction, renovations, and
completions, leases and sales, tenant movements, direct and sublet space,
etc
Preparation of statistics for office, retail and
industrial space on a quarterly basis under the direction of the Research
Director
Manage local database including historical
(sub)market data
Maintain and coordinate publications for Research
use and remain knowledgeable of other resources
Collect, maintain and review articles relevant
from all real estate sources for database implementation and market
knowledge
Contributes to write-ups of market conditions
under supervision of the Research Director. Publications to include
quarterly MarketBeat, submarket reports and other C&W publications as
well as client pitches
Assist as needed on regional and national level
projects
Assists in creating and populating photo database
where applicable
Seeks market activity information with attendance
at broker meetings
