We are looking for an engaged, open-minded and motivated intern to support Finance activities within the GE Global Operations – Capital Assets Global Initiatives organization. This role will be based in Shanghai. This paid internship will provide you with an opportunity to work with team members across different Global Operations centers globally on a variety of different tasks and projects. Key projects will include supporting Capital Assets global data consolidation and process simplification initiatives.

Essential Responsibilities:

- Develop process to consolidate key information needed to support Transitional Service Agreements fulfillment, Corporate requests and metrics reporting

- Review/analyze data submissions from regional Capital Assets teams; perform data validation and provide insights to ensure reasonableness of information provided

- Support other simplification projects within the Capital Assets Global Team including metrics reporting simplification; automating data consolidation where centralized data are available; Finance Data Store data validation using tools such as Alteryx

Qualifications/Requirements :

- Bachelor/Master degree in progress

- Degree specializing in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or related discipline

- Fluent in both written and oral English

- GPA 3.0 or higher on a scale up to 4.0 (unofficial transcript should be available upon request)

- Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint

- Strong analytical skills and resourceful

- Open to learning new tools independently to aid in simplification & automation initiatives

 Duration:

- at least 3 months and preferably 6 months (available at least 3 working days per week)
