The Role
We seek a highly motivated hands-on mechanical design intern for a position in the Low Voltage Test Engineering group, a team focused on creating robust testing equipment for our vehicle’s low voltage components.
This team concentrates on mechanical, electrical, and software test systems supporting our production lines around the world. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a dynamic team emphasizes collaboration in our work, and always encourages each other have fun while changing the world together.
Responsibilities:
• Design CAD models of test equipment
• Layout electrical/pneumatic schematics
• Host, and attend design review meetings
• Support build, debug, validate, and tune equipment
• Participate in initial equipment conceptual development and carefully balance product
specifications, process requirements, layout complexity, cost, and lead-time limits
• Interact with various design, manufacturing, sustaining, and firmware teams throughout project
• Establish great working relationships with vendors
• Continually design and implement improvements to released equipment

Requirements:
• Major in Mechanical, have studied mechanical design courses, and have the basic knowledge of mechanical design
• Have basic knowledge of machining, material, etc
• Hands-on skills with simple parts assembly, using various assembly tools and measuring tools
• Ability to use SolidWorks, or similar 3D CAD software
• Ability to design parts according to use requirements
• Able to arrange design schedule properly
