MR集团全称为莱茵豪森机械制造厂（Maschinenfabrik ReinhausenGmbH），始创于1868年，总部位于德国南部的雷根斯堡市。集团拥有38个子公司和6家联营公司，活跃于全球193个国家。

1926年，MR首创具有划时代意义的、用于调节变压器电压的有载分接开关，从此缔造出世界上、种类齐全的分接开关家族。

如今，MR对变压器的智能控制，从调节监控有载分接开关拓展到用Messko产品监测变压器的其他重要功能。另外，MR还在无功补偿、空心复合绝缘子、高压检测与诊断系统等不同的领域大显身手。

2006年，MR在中国设立了两家全资子公司。

位于上海地区的MR中国，又名开德贸易（上海）有限公司，主要负责MR所有产品在中国市场的销售、客户支持与技术维护。
