iRobot was founded by MIT roboticists in 1990 and is now the leading global consumer robot company.The company’s headquarters are located in Bedford, Massachusetts, USA. As the first company to bringrobotic vacuum cleaners to the masses, and the market leader in many mature markets, such as TheUnited States, Japan and Germany, iRobot is ramping up its investments in China as it is poised to become the world’s largest robot vacuum market. To be closer to the consumer in this high lycompetitive market, iRobot opened a sales& marketing office in Shanghai in 2016.
