公益组织信息：

IFU，全称International Family Union国际家长汇，是由海外学长学姐组成的，以校园安全为核心的，服务于国际家长的美国联邦公益组织。

IFU成立于2017年。2017年发生的不安全事件让我们发现留学生家长在紧急情况下，因为地理、文化原因找不到合适的群体获得及时的帮助。孩子和父母之间也因为信息不对称的问题导致代沟的增加及不安全事件（自杀、酗酒等）的发生。

目前，支持IFU的合作伙伴覆盖安全、教育、职业规划、旅游、媒体等领域。此外，IFU已在美国和加拿大各地的十八所学校建立分布，并持续扩展中。

我们的使命是，通过传递海外各大学校内信息的方式，减少家长与孩子之间因地理、文化、语言而产生的信息代沟问题，从而减少不安全事件的发生；通过全美各校学长学姐帮助家长在紧急时刻可以联系到本校相关人员。

我们希望为家长打造一个安心可靠的平台，一座家长与学校之间的桥梁，一个能更加了解孩子海外生活的、能让家长和家长之间沟通交流的大家庭。

Non-Government Organization Information:

IFU stands for International Family Union, which is an on-campus safety concentrated student organization including members from 18 different universities all over the world. This is a public service organization, and its members devote themselves to serving international students’ parents.

Our organization was founded in 2017 along with a series of distress incidents that involved the students overseas. These tragedies made us realize that parents of international students lack a necessary approach to contact when their children are in an emergency or potentially dangerous condition due to inconvertible factors such as language and distance limitation. What’s worse, the asymmetric information also contributes to the gap between the students overseas and their parents at home. These initially unnoticeable gaps may eventually lead to incidents (suicide, alcohol abuse, etc.) that endanger the lives of international students.

Our mission is to reduce the information gap between parents and children caused by unavoidable geographic, cultural, and linguistic factors by transmitting timely information from the universities to the parents, minimizing the potential physical or mental health factors that may be harmful to the students overseas. While actively assuring both the physical and mental health conditions of the students abroad, all the IFU fellows as the “experienced students” also devote to reducing any existing concerns or questions of the incoming freshmen by hosting speakers, posting articles, holding an online Q&A session, and conducting offline meeting events.
