This individual will work under general supervision and within established practices, to support power system solutions for storage systems and related products in the Shanghai Engineering organization.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Power systems components definition and specification in a product development cycle. Participate in defining and be accountable for metrics on function vs. cost, schedule, reliability, efficiency and performance for products developed, and be involved with program management in the planning and tracking of resources and schedules.
Contributing to the technical solutions required for the product: Circuitry and firmware design recommendations, appropriate design and test result reviews throughout the project lifecycle.
Procured components and sub-assemblies, including ac/dc and dc/dc module, dc/dc point-of-load converters, and battery backup systems, technique and program management: proposal review, project planning, issue tracking, and supplier management.
Overseeing the development tasks required to implement the design, interfacing with all other members of the project team, system development engineers, mechanical, thermal and CAD design engineers, product test and manufacturing organizations, in a global business environment.
- Solid knowledge background: familiar with all power topologies, magnetic design, control loop stability; good understanding of analog circuit; general knowledge of EMI, thermal, safety and component.
- Effective communication skills, including good command of the English language in spoken and written form, are a key requirement for the position.
- Good Trouble shooting capability and analytical ability.
