The Role

We are developing a team of highly trained experts to work on batteries and battery management systems. The Repair engineering technician reports to the Team Supervisor. You are responsible for repairing complex electromechanical assemblies to specification according to provided instructions, and documenting their work as required. The Repair engineering technician tests and analyzes the devices according to established procedure, and then follows provided instructions, schematic diagrams, and mechanical drawings to perform the repairs. You will be using precision measurement devices (e.g., TEC-90 & Hioki) to take measurements and to log data that will be used in the final disposition. You will also assist engineers and technicians to identify new failure modes, implement corrective/preventive actions, and help develop new repair instructions. You will work to hand-written and verbal instructions when necessary. Repair engineering technician uses hand tools, computer-based electrical test equipment, and databases to analyze and repair product and subassemblies.

Responsibilities

·         Maintains a substantial understanding of the job, and applies knowledge and skills to complete a wide range of tasks.

·         Works on assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring judgment in resolving issues or in making recommendations.

·         Follows established procedures on routine work, requires instructions only on new assignments. Advanced persons maintain the same level and quality of work while receiving little instruction on routine assignments, and only general instruction on newly introduced assignments.

·         Maintains inventory integrity and repair history through diligent record keeping and adherence to process.

·         Routinely operates general voltage testing equipment, and other test equipment as required.

·         Operates, or trains to operate automated equipment as designed (wire bonder, impendence tester, sheet tester, electronic test equipment, automated welders, etc.).

·         Routes electrical harnesses and cables, and builds/assembles a variety of electro-mechanical devices.

·         Completes daily tasks with little supervision, and within the allotted time.

·         Performs standardized work as written.

·         Applies acquired work skills to established and new processes.

·         Takes on and completes moderately difficult assignments with little supervision.

·         Supports other teams & groups as needed outside of primary job while meeting performance targets.

·         Maintains a clean and safe workstation.

·         Knows, understands, and applies the basic guidelines of 5S's.

·         Understands, supports, and follows company safety rules and policies.

Requirements

·         Must be proficient in technical English and have an up to date passport.

·         High School diploma or equivalent, B.S. is preferred.

·         Minimum 2 years’ experience in assembly and/or repair of electro-mechanical components.

·         Basic reading skills with ability to comprehend, perform, and complete routine detailed manufacturing instructions and standardize work with continued supervision.

·         Working knowledge of high voltage DC battery systems highly desirable.

·         Proficient with hand tools and computer-based tools. Proficiency with precision measuring equipment, electrical test equipment, and computer databases is highly desirable.

·         Experience with semi-automated manufacturing equipment is highly desirable.

·         Ability to read and understand manufacturing instructions, electrical diagrams, and mechanical drawings.

·         Good command of the English language, both written and verbal.

·         General computer skills required – Word, Excel and Outlook highly desirable.

·         Able to communicate through company Email.

·         Train to operate manufacturing execution system (MES).

·         Possesses a general knowledge of PCBA's and fuses.

·         Possesses or earns a high voltage training certification.

·         Must be detail oriented, reliable, and innovative.

·         Must be a self-starter, and quality focused.

·         Ability to perform repetitious duties while standing for long periods.

·         Ability to lift 30-50 lbs.

职位需求

·         良好的英语交流能力和技术英语的读写能力。

·         大专或同等以上学历，本科学历者优先。

·         少2年电子元器件维修和组装经验。

·         基本的阅读技巧与能力以理解，执行，和完成例行的工作指令和标准工作流程。

·         有关于高压电系统的知识背景。
