Ivy League Camps is running summer camps in Shanghai for Chinese kids in the 2017 summer. If you are looking to work on a dynamic international team, have tons of fun with children, plus make money, change lives, and interact with the most impressive camp staff, you could be perfect.
Dates : Staff training begins June 26th and the first day of camp is July 3rd . Camp will run through August 11th . Mon-Fri every week.

Job Responsibilities/Qualifications : •Direct day camp programs for kids ages 5-13 in Shanghai. •Work directly with the U.S. and China based founding teams to strategize and implement plan for the 2017 summer camps. •Lead, organize and motivate team of staff (American and Chinese). •Act as a liaison between U.S. directors and staff and Chinese staff. •Manage Chinese counselors as they execute day-to-day logistics. •Design and implement solutions to challenges as they arise. •Enforce camper behavior policy. •Be responsible for tracking camp inventory and ordering more materials when necessary. •Excellent English and Chinese skills are required. •Minimum age 22 required to apply. No maximum age.

Typical Day: •9:00am—Welcome kids to camp in fun group. (Think: superheroes, air guitar, and crazy dancing.) General morning welcome theme: fun and crazy. •You oversee the Chinese counselors as they guide the children from activity to activity. (These activities range from science and engineering to art and athletics). •You will monitor lunch with the counselors and children. Lunch is provided for you of course. •The kids will depart around 3:35 PM, after which you will supervise the day’s clean up, trouble shoot issues if necessary, occasionally facilitate staff meetings, and then have the evening off. •Generally you will work Mon-Fri for 7 wks (1 training wk, 6 camp wks), but be ready to be flexible in your work hours. As a director, you should generally anticipate about 50 hour workweeks. •We have been known to toss in some fun optional staff activities throughout the summer. Compensation : RMB 10,500/7 weeks (RMB 300/day), lunch included. (Subject to increase depending on experience.)
